New Delhi: The apex court of India, Supreme Court has expressed dissatisfaction and questioned Modi Government on cleaning River Ganga today.
Supreme Court asked Centre to frame a plan in time bound manner.
The Centre has set a target of three years to rejuvenate the polluted holy river.
Apex court also said that the plan for river Ganga cleaning, which Centre has prepared will take 200 years to complete. We must take some immediate steps and should enact on them quickly as we want a clean Ganga for the upcoming generation.
The Supreme Court has asked the Centre to apprise it about the steps taken for cleaning up of the river Ganga to resolve the issue of pollution on the banks of River Ganga and the pollution caused by industries and sewage.
