Dehradun, Dec 10: Snowfall in the higher reaches of Himalayas in Uttarakhand has resulted in cold condition gripping the entire hill state.
Higher reaches of Himalayas in Garhwal and Kumaon regions like Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, Yamunotri, Nandadevi and Munsyari received this winter's first snowfall in the state.
Some low-lying areas including the state capital also experienced light rainfall during the past 24 hours forcing the people to stay indoors.
The temperature, which was till now hovering around the normal, is likely to register fall now, the MeT office said.
