Gangtok, Mar 28: Sikkim Governor Balmiki Prasad Singh today administered the oath of office to Justice P. C. Kuriakose as the new Chief Justice of Sikkim High Court at the Raj Bhavan here.
The swearing-in ceremony was also attended by Sikkim CM Pawan Chamling, Speaker, Ministers, and other dignitaries.
Justice Kuriakose was appointed as Additional Judge of Kerala High Court on Sept 9, 2002. He was appointed permanent judge in the same high court in 2004.
The 62-year-old judge hails from Thripunithura in Ernakulam district of Kerala.
