Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met BJP chief JP Nadda in New Delhi on Tuesday. The agenda of the meeting is not announced. However, there is a huge buzz over his next role. Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah reiterated on several occasions that Chouhan is an asset for the party and will be given a big role soon.
After the meeting, Chouhan spoke to reporters and reiterated his pledge to work towards strengthening the country through his party. "Today I met the National President, Honorable Shri @JPNadda ji. As a party worker, I have said several times that the work given by the party is a mission of national service and public service for me," he wrote on 'X'. My constant thought is to serve the nation through my party and to take forward the mission of the respected Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi," Chohan added.
"Dr. Mohan Yadav ji is a capable and hardworking worker, I am confident that he will take Madhya Pradesh to new heights of prosperity; I will continue to support them in every possible way," he stated.
Will rather die than seek something for myself from Delhi: Chouhan
Chouhan has been chief minister of Madhya Pradesh for two stints from November 2005 to December 2018 and March 2020 to December 2023. The BJP lost election under his leadership in 2018 assembly elections in the state but regained power after a split in the ruling Congress in 2020.
