Jammu, Sep 2 : The Shiv Sena today demanded Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's resignation and sought his apology for his comment on the issue of execution of Afzal Guru.
“Such type of expression will not be tolerated. Omar must tender unconditional apology... rather should resign as he has lost locus to continue as the Chief Minister,” Shiv Sena state chief Ashok Gupta told reporters here. Shiv Sena and Dogra Front also today took out a protest rally against the Chief Minister's comment. Omar had tweeted that if J and K Assembly had passed a resolution against the death sentence given to Guru as was done by the Tamil Nadu Assembly for the killers of Rajiv Gandhi, the reaction would not have been as muted as it is now.
“The statement over resolution like Tamil Nadu is unwanted, undesirable, unethical rather unconstitutional,” he added. PTI
