Lucknow, Sep 23: A prominent Shia cleric and social activist Swami Agnivesh today flayed Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi for his three-day long ‘Sadbhavna' fast and termed it as a drama.
“Modi committed the biggest crimes of all by pitting one brother against the other for the sake of power and he cannot be pardoned for it,” noted Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawwad said here.
Jawwad, who today observed a day-long fast, broke it in in the presence of Agnivesh and different religious leaders. Swami Agnivesh also lashed out at Modi saying the hall where he sat for his fast cost lakhs of rupees. The social activist said he had full faith in the judiciary and was confident that justice would be done in the case of Modi also.
Earlier this week, Kalbe Jawwad had compared Modi with Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Kasab and Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru, and had attacked all those attending his ‘Sadbhavna' fast. PTI
