New Delhi, Jun 25: Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today said her government would examine whether Delhiites can be provided some sort of relief following hike in diesel, kerosene and cooking gas by the Centre.
“We will examine it...We will discuss it in the Cabinet,” Dikshit said replying to a question on how the common man will manage following hike in diesel, kerosene and LPG prices.
“The central government had to hike the rates out of compulsion as prices of oil in the international market have gone up,” Dikshit said.
The Centre yesterday hiked the price of diesel by Rs 3 a litre, kerosene Rs 2 a litre and cooking gas by a steep Rs 50 a cylinder.
To a question on her stand on militant Davinder Pal Singh Bhullar's execution, she said the Centre would take a decision on the issue.
“A representation had come from his mother. We referred it to the Home Ministry,” she said. PTI
