Kolhapur, Mar 24: Nationalist Congress Party supremo and Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar today suddenly felt uneasiness, and was rushed to a local hospital, where he underwent checkup.
On doctors' advice, Pawar was airlifted to Pune for further treatment, sources said.
Pawar was due to visit Sangli today, but the tour has been postponed.
The 73-year-old political strongman from Maharashtra has already said he would not contest the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and would prefer to make way for a younger leadership.
