Lucknow/Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav's son Shailesh, whose name had figured in the multi-crore Vyapam scam, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his official residence here today.
The body of Shailesh was found on the floor of his room.
Police said the exact cause of the death could not be ascertained immediately.
"We have got information that Shailesh Yadav, aged about 50, died at the official residence of MP Governor Ram Naresh Yadav at Mall Avenue locality here," Gautampalli Police Station in-charge, Vidrendra Bahadur Singh said.
Shailesh's name had cropped up in the multi-crore Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board or Vyapam scam, for allegedly fixing the recruitment of 10 candidates as Grade III teachers.
Meanwhile, Naresh Yadav has been admitted to a hospital in Bhopal after his condition worsened on hearing the news of his son's death.
Naresh Yadav, a former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, was appointed Madhya Pradesh Governor by Congress in 2011.
