Chennai, Jul 2: A scorpion stung a Bahrain-bound passenger onboard a private airlines flight, forcing the take-off to be aborted while the aircraft was taxiing at the airport here today.
Thirtyfive-year-old Vidyasagar, hailing from Puducherry, was stung by a black scorpion, believed to have been inside his coat, airport sources said.
The take-off of the flight was aborted and the passenger rushed back to the terminal for medical attention.
After treatment, he was cleared to resume his journey, but the passenger chose to cancel the travel, the sources said.
The scorpion was killed by fellow passengers, they said, adding, the flight took off after a delay of about 30 minutes.
