New Delhi: The Supreme Court will today hear Sahara's plea on the Rs 47000 crore repayment case.
The apex court had earlier refused Sahara's plea seeking hospitalization of Subrata Roy after the group's lawyers told the apex court that Roy is suffering from high blood pressure and is likely to suffer a stroke.
The court said that it could direct Tihar Jail to give him necessary medical treatment but not release him.
Sahara Chief Subrata Roy was imprisoned earlier this year in March following a long- running dispute between Sahara Group and Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) over repayment of billions of dollars to investors who were sold certain bonds.
However, Sahara has remained firm on its stand that it has already repaid over 93% to the investors.
