Anantapur (AP), Jun 16: The doors of 'Yajurveda Mandir', abode of late spiritual leader Sathya Sai Baba in the Prashanti Nilayam ashram at Puttaparthi in Anantapur district, were opened today.
Yajurveda Mandir or Yajur Mandir, the personal chamber of Sai Baba where he lived, had remained closed ever since the Godman was hospitalised on March 28. The 86-year-old passed away on April 24 following a multi-organ failure.
Sathya Sai Central Trust member and ex-Chief Justice of India P N Bhagavati, Trust Secretary K Chakravarthi, Trust members Indulal Shah, Venu Srinivasan, and Satyajit, caretaker and disciple of the Godman, besides followers of the Baba entered the Yajurveda Mandir after its locks were opened at around 10 am, sources said.
