Bhubaneswar: The woman medico, who had 'accompanied' arrested self-styled godman Sarathi Baba alias Santosh Roul to a hotel in Hyderabad, today lodged an FIR against Baba alleging that she received threats from him.

The 24-year-old woman lodged the second written complaint against him today with crime branch of Odisha Police.

The woman, who had refused to speak against Roul in her first FIR, changed her mind after recording her statement yesterday before a magistrate under section 164 of CrPC, sources said.

The final year MBBS student in today's FIR alleged that the self-styled godman was threatening her, and was being threatened by two women on behalf of Roul. As a result, she was forced to file an FIR at Mangalabag police station in Cuttack on August 7, the woman told the police.

"In today's FIR, the woman alleged that she was threatened not to divulge the fact that Baba was known to her," Crime Branch ADG B K Sharma said.

She said that the two women threatened her on behalf of Roul. One of the two women had even posed as a CBI officer.

In her first FIR at Mangalabag Police Station, she had alleged that she received life threats from four persons while recording her statement before police under section 161 of CrPC.

Crime Branch sources said a fresh case has been registered against Roul under section 120(B), 384, 506 and 34 of IPC.

As the woman has turned hostile, the Crime Branch may now seek fresh remand of Roul, who was sent back to jail at Choudwar today morning, they said.

Earlier, the Crime Branch had registered case against Roul under different sections of IPC, SC-ST Atrocities Act, Arms Act and under provisions of Misuse of Religious Institutions Act.
