Thiruvananthapuram: K C Kannan, who was sacked from the post of Sah Sarkaryavah (joint general secretary) of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), got married on Sunday to his lady love Jeejabai at the Sree Krishna Temple in Palakkad, Kerala.
Kannan was involved in the relationship before being appointed one of the four joint general secretaries in 2012, a strict no-no for all RSS pracharaks (preachers).
His wife Jeejabai also hails from an RSS supporter's family in Palakkad.
The wedding at the temple was attended by family members, but there were no RSS or BJP leaders present, says a newspaper report.
Kannan is a native of Pandalam village in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala. He became an RSS pracharak during his college days, holding various positions like RSS district pracharak, states physical education chief and zonal physical education chief before becoming the All India physical education chief.
