New Delhi: Retired Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar today attended the 82nd Air Force Day celebration at Hindon Air Force Station in Ghaziabad.
Clad in IAF uniform, the iconic batsman arrived here with his wife Anjali. He also attended the IAF parade on this occasion.
He was conferred with the honorary title of Honorary Group Captain four years ago. He is the first person with no aviation background to get the honour. The 41-year-old sportsman retired from international cricket last year in November.
The IAF also displayed various aircrafts as a part of the celebration to mark the Air Force Day Parade cum Investiture Ceremony.
The Air Force Day was officially first observed on October 8, 1932.
The IAF has 170,000 personnel and more than 1,400 aircraft.
