Hyderabad, Apr 23: India's batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar may not be playing in Sunday's game against the Deccan Chargers, nor is he going to cut a 38 kg birthday cake due to the deteriorating condition of Sathya Sai Baba in Puttaparthi, a media report said.
Sachin, who turns 38 on Sunday was expected to play at the Hyderabad Stadium but he is worried about the condition of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
The Mumbai Indians' skipper is an ardent follower of Sathya Sai Baba and reports suggest that Sachin may not celebrate his 38th birthday on Sunday given the critical condition of Sathya Sai Baba in Puttaparthi.
Sachin had earlier planned a birthday bash for Saturday but now it may not happen at all.
Sachin Tendulkar today joined the thousands of devotees praying for a speedy recovery of Shri Sathya Sai Baba, whose condition continues to remain very critical.
Asking his fans to pray for the well being of Satya Sai Baba, Tendulkar, an ardent follower of Sai Baba, tweeted, "I m praying for Shri Sathya Sai Baba's quick recovery. Hope everyone will join me in praying for his return to good health."
TTendulkar may not celebrate his 38th birthday tomorrow and play in Sunday's game against the Deccan Chargers as he is highly concerned with Sai Baba's deteriorating health.
The panel of doctors attending on the spiritual guru today said that his vital organs were showing minimal response to treatment and he continues to be in same critical state of health. PTI
