Amethi: A total of Rs 482.97 crore has been sanctioned for the development of Amethi in a meeting of the District Plan for financial year 2015-16 held at the collectorate in Gauriganj here.
Uttar Pradesh's Minister of Panchayati Raj Kamal Akhtar presided over the meeting yesterday and directed the officials to convey to him the status of all the work under progress.
The meeting was attended by the President of Zila Panchayat of Amethi Kamla Devi, District Magistrate Jagat Raj Tripathi, SP Hira Lal, CDO Om Prakash, among others.
The details of the funds sanctioned for the development of the project include Rs 64.96 crore for Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Scheme, Rs 12.40 crore for National Rural Livelihood Mission, Rs 70.57 crore for Lohia Awas Yojana, Rs 42.40 crore for Indira Awas Yojana and Rs 10.37 crore for Public Works Department, Akhtar said.
An amount of Rs 2.42 crore would be spent on secondary education sector, Rs 12.65 crore for family welfare, Rs 40 lakh for agriculture, Rs 6.72 crore for village sanitation and Rs 3.29 crore for the help of farmers among others, the minister said.
