Chandigarh, Apr 4 : The Haryana government has transferred, for the nth time, senior whistleblower bureaucrat Ashok Khemka from his post of managing director, Haryana Seeds Development Corporation to the post of secretary, Haryana Archives.
It was Ashok Khemka who as director-general, consolidation of land holidings and land records and Inspector general of registration had raised the red flag over the registration of land acquired and sold by Congress President Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra.
After cancelling the mutation of the land deal, Khemka had alleged that he had received a number of threat calls.
Four Haryana deputy commissioners conducted inquiry into the deals after Khemka's order and gave a clean chit to Vadra saying that there was no "undervaluation" or loss of revenue to the government in the land deals involving him in the state.
This is Khemka's second transfer within six months. He had taken disciplinary action against some employees of the state seed development corporation.
During his 21-year-long career, 47-year-old Khemka has been transferred over 40 times.
