New Delhi, Jun 29 : Three armed robbers barged into a house in Rishabh Vihar near East Delhi's Anand Vihar on Tuesday afternoon, posing as courier boys, and held the women in the house hostages, the victims said.

The robbers , armed with knives,  then rummaged through all the drawers and wardrobes, stayed in the house for nearly an hour and decamped with nearly Rs 2 crore worth cash and valuables, though the victim's family and police are unwilling to divulge the exact amount.

Meena, wife of cloth trader Lapat Rai said, one of the robbers first rang the doorbell, with two others hiding nearby. As she opened the door, the man alongwith the other two forced their way in, and tied her up, alongwith her daughter Dipika and another woman. They then proceeded to rob the valuables, she said.

"Everything valuable inside this house has been taken away. We are literally on the road", said a sobbing Meena.
