Kolkata: Officials of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) yesterday seized three rhino horns worth around Rs 33lakhs in Jalpaiguri district and caught one person in this regard.
A statement from SSB said during a joint operation with local police personnel of the 53rd battalion seized the horns near Dhoopguri on the way to Falakata railway station.
Manjurull Alam was apprehended by the police and the 3 kg horns estimated to be worth Rs 33 lakhs in the international market were seized.
