Chennai, May 13: Dismissing reports about his deteriorating health as rumours, the family of superstar Rajnikanth today said he was fine and had to take some rest following his recent hospitalisation.
“I don't know where these rumours started from. These are false. He is in good health and is resting at home,” his wife Latha told reporters here.
Online reports suggested that the 60-year-old actor, who was hospitalised recently with allergic bronchitis and viral infection, was in critical condition.
Thanking his colleagues, fans and all well-wishers, Latha said they were right now not particular on proceeding with the filming of ‘Rana', his latest venture, where the ‘Enthiran' star plays three roles and romances Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone.
Recently, Rajnikanth was admitted to a private hospital for allergic bronchitis and viral fever, just a week after he was admitted in the same hospital for exhaustion.
He had suffered from exhaustion on the first day of the shoot of ‘Rana', being directed by K S Ravikumar with music from A R Rahman. PTI
