New Delhi: With the increasing rate of corruption in our country, a lot many scams have come into light including the 2G scam, the multi-millionaire Saradha chit fund scam, and many more.
Now the scam fever is hovering over Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation. Just three months after the launch of Mumbai Metro, the rail operator has come across the recruitment scam for the Mumbai Metro.
The scam involved advertisements for hiring in Metro Rail Corporation or Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), which invited applicants for various technical and administrative posts with MMRC and MMRDA.
According to the MMRDA official, people who applied to this fraud advertisement also received an appointment letter which also asked the applicants to pay some deposit.
The letters also bear a fake website www.mumbaimetrorecruitment.in along with the name and contact numbers of two people, Sachin Negi and Sidhart Khandelwal.
The MMRDA has reported the matter to the cyber crime cell.
While the MMRC did circulate the advertisements for hiring for various posts, but it hasn't appointed any agency or any such individual outside the organization for the recruitment.
