Rebel AAP MLA Binny tells Aap Ki Adalat, Kejriwal has a secret deal with Congress

New Delhi: Rebel Aam Aadmi Party MLA Vinod Kumar Binny, who has been denied ministerial post, has said, he strongly suspects that Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal was involved in a secret deal with Congress to stay in power. Replying to queries from Rajat Sharma in India TV show Aap Ki Adalat, Binny said: "I have no intention of maligning my party and I am more worried about the aam aadmi. These people have joined the party today, whereas I put my political career of 10-12 years at stake. "The very fact that Congress offered unconditional support, and AAP accepting the offer after 15 days, them (Cong) supporting the Speaker, all these show that there has been some deal. And I feel that whatever some BJP leaders have alleged that a deal was finalised in a five-star hotel, could be true.."My sources informed me that an industrialist Pankaj Munjal, who had also donated a huge amount to the party, had organised the event", said Binny. Asked by Rajat Sharma whether he had any proof about the deal, Binny said: "I don't have any proof but during Annaji's movement, everybody saw that nobody was ready to speak out. At that time Kejriwal ji and Sandeep Dikshit ji (Sheila Dikshit's son and Congress MP), both of them run NGOs and are quite close, these two sat down and sorted out. So the unconditional support proves that some deal has been made somewhere".Asked whether the Congress was helping AAP to minimize the Modi wave effect, Binny replied: "There is nothing called Modi wave..Had it been so it would have been in Delhi too. Issues are more important. Wave does not help. Those who speak on people's issues will woon. Kejriwal ji spoke about people's issues in a better way."Binny said, Kejriwal is now cut off from aam aadmi, and has forgotten the promises that he has made. The rebel MLA said: "Abstaining from VIP culture does not mean that you travel by Metro for a day and the next day travel in official cars worth Rs 15-20 lakhs with VIP numbers. "Had the media not made an outcry, Kejriwal ji would have been staying in a 10-room flat, on which lakhs were spent on restructuring it. He (Kejriwal) may not be using official security, but his private security is such that that aam janta cannot meet him any more. In that case, he should have taken official security."Binny said, Kejriwal has cheated the people of Delhi on his promises of free water and cheap electricity."In every speech, on every platform he (Kejriwal) said we will give 700 litres water a day free, but in his manifesto he wrote, the moment the consumption is more than 700 litres, one has to pay. Tell me to how many homes does his manifesto reaches? He never mentioned this from platforms."Similarly, he promised to reduce power bills by 50 per cent. There was no mention of subsidy. The people were assuming that if the bill was Rs 1000, they would be paying Rs 500. They never understood that the power rates for residential, commercial and industrial are different."Today, 90 per cent of the people of Delhi feel cheated. I always wanted to speak on this, but the culture in AAP party is such that you cannot speak to Kejriwal directly."Congress took 100 years to imbibe this VIP culture, BJP took several years, but AAP party took 20 days to imbibe VIP culture", said Binny. On Kejriwal's promise to condone who had refused to pay power bills, Binny said: "Kejriwal ji launched non-cooperation movement on water and power. He appealed to people not to pay unjust water and power bills. Those who didn't pay, had their connections disconnected."Kejriwal ji and his associates began reconnecting power connections in front of cameras. After that, power theft cases were registered. Today these people have lakhs of rupees worth power arrears on them. After this government came to power, those people are running from pillar to post. Nobody is there to listen to their woes. Kejriwal ji has forgotten his promise to condone their power arrears", said Binny. The rebel AAP MLA described as "publicity stunts" the spats that took place between two Delhi ministers with the police. "This were mere stunts for publicity. First they call in the media, and then go among the public. They want to give the message that we are doing a great job. My appeal to them is, please don't make it a publicity stunt. Please do something genuinely".On the Danish woman gangrape case, Binny said: "What did he (Kejriwal) do after speaking to the Lt Governor? Had another party been in power, Kejriwal ji would have launched agitation the same morning itself. He would have taken out candle marches. But today he says, give me 7 days time. They had promised security teams for women safety, what has the government done in last 20 days? In this case, immediate action should have been taken and a message should have gone out".On discontinuing Janta Durbars, Binny said: "This shows lack of experience. This will happen if you invite the public of Delhi in one go. He should have asked the MLAs to give two hours daily to listen to the public. Why does he (Kejriwal) want that he should be doing the whole work alone?"On Kejriwal's claim that AAP selected its candidates through referendum, Binny replied : "For all 70 seats they tried to conduct referendum. They told their active volunteers to vote. Not a single candidate was selected on the basis of that voting. They said, you give your votes, we have the powers. We will decide inside closed room."Aap Ki Adalat with Vinod Kumar Binny will be telecast on Saturday (Jan 18) night at 10 pm, and on Sunday (Jan 19) at 10 am and 10 pm.
