Mughalsarai, UP, May 12: Scores of passengers on the Ranchi-bound Rajdhani Express felt stomach ache and vomitted after consuming pantry car food served after the train left Kanpur on Friday evening.
Most of the passengers, including a Jharkhand MP Kameshwar Baitha from Palamau, alleged that they felt uneasiness in the stomach and began vomitting soon after consuming pantry car food.
The passengers who felt sick were treated at the Mughalsarai station by doctors, and the train was then allowed to proceed.
Sanjay Kumar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Mughalsarai, said, samples of the food have been seized from the pantry car and have been sent for investigation.
Neeraj Sharma, CPRO, Northern Railway, said all the passengers recovered later and the train later left for Ranchi.
