Rampur (UP): The additional road transport officer of Rampur Kaushalendra Pratap Yadav was today suspended for wearing shoes at the Gandhi memorial here on October 2 while welcoming local Samajwadi Party stalwart and senior minister Azam Khan.
Azam Khan had come to fly the tricolour at the memorial.
Kaushalendra Pratap Yadav, who claims to be close to the senior minister, was busy chaperoning the leader and forgot to take off his shoes at the Gandhi memorial.
Yadav is the same ARTO who had pulled down the red beacon light from the official car of local MP Jayaprada, a known opponent of Azam Khan.
Since then he had been claiming that he was very close to the SP leader.
