Guwahati: The East Central Railway has diverted five trains in view of the derailment of New Delhi-Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express early this morning.
A press release issued by the railway authorities said, Avadh Assam Express (from Lalgarh) and Amritsar-Katihar Express (from Amritsar) have been diverted via Gorakhpur-Darbhanga, while Katihar-Amritsar Express (from Katihar) have been diverted via Muzaffarirpur-Gorakhpur.
Dibrugarh-Amritsar Express has been diverted via Barauni-Varanasi, while Avadh Assam Express (from Tinsukia) has been diverted via Malda Town-Patna-Mughalsarai. Karma Bhoomi Express has been diverted via Malda Town-Patna-Mughalsarai.
1) 15610 Lalgarh – New Tinsukia Avadh Assam Express which left Lalgarh on 23rd June will be diverted via Gorakhpur – Paniyahwa – Raxaul Jn. – Sitamarhi – Darbhanga instead of its normal route via Hajipur – Muzaffarpur.
2) 15708 Amritsar – Katihar Express which left Amritsar on 24th June will be diverted via Gorakhpur – Paniyahwa – Raxaul Jn. – Sitamarhi – Darbhanga - Samastipur instead of its normal route via Hajipur – Muzaffarpur.
3) 15707 Katihar – Amritsar Express leaving Katihar on 25th June will be diverted via Muzaffarpur – Runnisaidpur – Gorakhpur section instead of its normal route via Barauni – Muzaffarpur – Hajipur.
4) 15983 Dibrugarh – Amritsar Express which left Dibrugarh on 24th June will be diverted via Barauni – Baliakheri – Mughal Sarai – Varanasi instead of its normal route via Barauni – Hajipur - Chhapra Kacheri.
5) 15609 New Tinsukia - Lalgarh Avadh Assam Express which left New Tinsukia on 24th June will be diverted via Malda Town – Bhagalpur – Kiul – Patna – Mughal Sarai.
6) 12407 New jalpaiguri – Amritsar Karmabhoomi Express leaving New Jalpaiguri on 25th June will be diverted via Malda Town – Bhagalpur – Kiul – Patna – Mughal Sarai – Varanasi instead of its normal route via Katihar – Muzaffarpur – Chhapra.
