However, Meena won on his another seat of Lalsot. Siddhi Kumari of Bikaner royal family won against Congress candidate from Bikaner east assembly seat. Ex-minister Babulal Nagar's brother Hazarilal Nagar lost the elections from Dudu constituency. In a major jolt to Congress, the party won only one seat out of the 19 of Jaipur district. In the district, BJP won on 17 seats, NPP on one, and Congress had the lone win in form of Rajendra Singh Yadav from Kotputali seat.
In 2008 assembly polls Congress had won 7 seats, BJP 10 seats from Jaipur district. Two ministers Mahendra Jeet Singh Malviya, Brijendra Ola, son of union minister Seesram Ola, were elected from Bagidora and Jhunjhunu seat respectively.
