Jaipur, Apr 12: Reaching out to minorities ahead of the Assembly elections in Rajasthan, the state BJP said there was resentment among the community following incidents of atrocities and also demanded a CBI probe into the demolition of a mosque in Bhilwara.

“There is resentment among people of the minority community following several incidents and atrocities against them in the state during the Congress rule...all such incidents have infuriated them and they will go with us in the elections,” BJP state vice president Yunus Khan said at a press conference here.

Khan, who is a former minister, demanded a CBI probe into the demolition of a mosque in Bhilwara which, he alleged, was done by a mining company in collusion with the state government, to facilitate its operations last year.

BJP, if voted to power, will initiate CBI probe or judicial enquiry in the matter, Khan said adding, party state president and chief ministerial candidate Vasundhara Raje's ‘Suraj Sankalp Yatra' is getting good response from people in the tribal region.

Alleging that Congress leaders and the chief minister in their ‘Sandesh Yatra' are busy commenting against Raje, Khan added, they should highlight their own achievements, if any, instead of making personal attacks on Raje.
