New Delhi: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will on Thursday fly to Kathmandu to attend the sixth conference of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Ministers of Interior / Home on September 19.
Singh will be accompanied by Home Secretary Anil Goswamy.
On his arrival at Kathmandu, the Home Minister will call on Nepal President Ram Baran Yadav and Prime Minister Sushil Koirala.
He will also meet Bamdev Gautam, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of Nepal and the leaders of Nepali Congress.
In the meeting, issues like suppression of terrorism, maritime security and piracy, narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, combating corruption, cyber crimes, mutual assistance in criminal matters, trafficking in women and children and promotion of child welfare in South Asia are likely to be discussed.
After the meeting, Rajnath Singh will also meet the leaders of political parties of Nepal.
