New Delhi: A high-level team of Delhi Police's Special Cell today met CBI officials here to discuss security arrangements for Chhota Rajan who is likely to be deported from Bali, Indonesia.
A team of Delhi Police officials led by Joint Commissioner (Special Cell) Vivek Gogia, DCP Sanjeev Yadav and Additional DCP Manishi Chandra today met senior officials of CBI at the agency headquarters.
The sources said during the meeting discussions related to Rajan, his safety and security arrangements were discussed.
CBI is tight-lipped over the entire issue but the security around the lock-up is being beefed up, they said.
A security drill also took place around the lock-up area to ensure tightest possible security in case Rajan is kept at the agency headquarters.
The sources said all the options are available to security agencies if the 55 year old underworld don is brought here.
They said the agencies are working on multi-pronged strategy to handle any last minute hiccups.
The sources said similar security arrangements are being made at all possible ports of his arrival including the national capital as well as Mumbai to ensure safety of Rajan who facing threat to his life from Dawood Ibrahim, his fiercest rival.

Rajan, who was arrested in Bali on his arrival from Australia on October 25, is wanted in over 75 heinous crimes ranging from murder, extortion to smuggling and drug trafficking.
Rajan, whose original name is Rajendra Sadashiv Nikhalje, was arrested in Bali on the basis of a Red Corner Notice from Interpol and following a tip off by Australian authorities to the police in Indonesia.
In the absence of an extradition treaty, the Indian authorities have already provided documents to their Indonesian counterparts about his Indian identity to facilitate his deportation.
In 2000, there was an attempt on Rajan's life when his arch rival and India's most wanted terrorist Dawood Ibrahim's men tracked him down to a hotel in Bangkok but he managed a dramatic escape.
The Indian team, comprising officers from CBI, Mumbai and Delhi police, had arrived in Bali on Sunday with a detailed dossier on 55-year-old Rajan and his involvement in various crimes in India.
