Mumbai: Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena and Udhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena have introduced their reel-life Chhatrapatis this election season.
MNS Chhatrapati is Bollywood director Mahesh Manjrekar, who played the role of Shivaji in the Marathi blockbuster ‘Mee Shivaji Raje Bhonsale Boltoy'.
Shiv Sena's Chhatrapati is Amol Kolhe. He is a medical practitioner who played Shivaji in several TV serials like ‘Rajmata Jijau', ‘Olakh' and Raja Shiv Chhatrapati.
Mahesh Manjrekar is MNS candidate for the Mumbai North-West constituency and Amol Kolhe is not contesting the election but campaigning for the party across the state, especially in Mumbai against Manjrekar.
