Shimla: Moderate to heavy rains lashed parts of Himachal as monsoon remained active in the state.
Kangra, Mandi, Una and Kullu districts received heavy rains and Ambala was wettest in the region with 89 mm rains.
Dharamsala and Gaggal received 80 mm rains while Dalhousie and Salooni received 58 mm and 53 mm rains, followed by Chamba 34 mm, Manali 32 mm and Shimla 10 mm.
The maximum day temperature plummeted from 34 deg C to 28.4 deg C in Una after heavy rains, while Sundernagar and Bhuntar recorded a high of 26 deg C and 25.6 deg C while Nahan and Solan recorded minimum temperatures of 23.8 deg C and 23.5 deg C, a drop of four degrees since yesterday.
Shimla and Dharamsala recorded minimum temperatures of 19.2 deg C and 22.2 deg C.
Minimum temperatures remained close to normal and Una was warmest at night with a low of 22.8 deg C, followed by Kangra and Sundernagar 21.6 deg C, Solan 20 deg C, Bhuntar and Chamba 19.2 deg C and Kalpa and Keylong 13 deg C and 12.3 deg C.
The local MeT office has predicted rain or thundershowers in many parts of the state in the next 48 hours.
