Bangalore: Lakhs of people commute by trains on a regular basis and the railway ritually witnesses excessive rush during festive seasons. In order to manage the crowd and to allow passengers a comfortable journey, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) will run weekly trains from Kamakhya to Bangalore Cantonment from September 20 till November 15.

To clear extra rush of passengers during festival season special premier trains will run from Kamakhya (Assam) on Saturdays at 08:30 pm and arrive at Bangalore cantonment station on Mondays at 10:30 pm.

While returning the trains will be scheduled for 10:45 am from Bangalore cantonment and reach Kamakhya on Thursdays at 11.15 am. The return trains will be available from September 23 till November 18.

These premier trains of 15 coaches have 8 second class sleeper, 4 AC 3 tier, and a pantry car.
