New Delhi, Mar 11: Amid increasing outrage over the murder of a 21-year-old girl student of Delhi University, the residents of her area staged a road blockade here today demanding immediate arrest of her killer.
Upset over alleged police "inaction", residents staged a protest and blocked the Outer Ring Road in Naraina in west Delhi this morning. Students also held protests in various colleges demanding the arrest of the culprit.
Radhika Tanwar, a second-year degree student, was killed outside her college in Dhaula Kuan's Shantiniketan area on March 8 by a man, who is believed to have been stalking her for sometime.
The broad daylight murder, ironically coming on the international women's day, has raised questions over law and order situation in the capital. BJP's student wing ABVP has called for a strike in Delhi University today to protest the incident and demand more security for students. PTI
