Quakes hit J&K's Bhaderwah hills

Bhaderwah (J&K): Mild tremors in quick succession jolted Bhaderwah belt of Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir tonight.

The quakes measuring 4.3 and 3.7 on the Richter scale shook Bhaderwah belt at 10.33 PM and 10.40 PM, Met department officials said.

No damage to property has been reported.  The epicentre of the quake was located 9 kilometers of south west of Bhaderwah, they said.

The town of Bhaderwah is endowed with natural beauty which lends to its nickname, "mini Kashmir". Apart from having picture-perfect scenic beauty due to beautiful forests, the town contains many small streams flowing through its various parts.

Tremors were also felt in Kishtwad and Doda belts.
