Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan yesterday said improving conviction rate is a challenge and sought support from government pleaders to make it possible.
Addressing a conference of government pleaders here, Chavan said there were new challenges before the judicial system and the role of government pleaders was important.
“Pendency of court cases has come down but need more efforts,” he said.
He also called for proper coordination and communication between government offices and government pleaders.
