Ranchi: Bihar's Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad spent Monday night inside Ranchi's Birsa Munda jail after he was convicted by a CBI court in fodder scam. He has been allotted prisoner number 3312.
Lalu has been made to wear jail uniform and has been kept in Upper Divisional Cell, where former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda used to stay.
There are two VIP blocks in this jail, and Lalu has been kept in Block A having four rooms. Lalu Prasad has been given a room 10 feet long and 12 feet wide, furnished with a bed and mattress, a TV set, a chair and a table. There is an attached bathroom.
There is a drawing room lounge with sofas.
Twenty security personnel have been deputed for the former Bihar chief minister, alongwith an attendant, who will attend to cooking and other household chores.
