Pre-paid power meters to come up in Nagaland

Kohima:  In move towards overcoming the Aggregate Technical and Commercial (AT&C) losses to the extent of 60 per cent faced by the state through power supply, the Department of Power, Nagaland would be introducing pre-paid

To check the losses, the pilot project for implementing pre-paid power meters was earmarked at Marwari Patti where the DoP had already begun ring fencing of the Distributor Transformers (DTs).



Under phase-I, the department aims to install meters for around 715 consumers and around 200 in phase-II. In this regard, the DoP has also assessed connected load of all consumers.
