New Delhi: Pradeep Kumar Sinha, an IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, was on Friday appointed the new cabinet secretary. He will succeed Ajit Seth.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the appointment of Pradeep Kumar Sinha as the next cabinet secretary with effect from June 13, 2015," a PMO press release said.
PM Modi has approved the appointment of Pradeep Kumar Sinha, IAS (UP Cadre, 1977 batch) as the next Cabinet Secretary, with effect from June 13, 2015.
Sinha is currently Power Secretary and holding this post since July 2013. The Prime Minister has also approved that Sinha may be appointed as OSD in the Cabinet Secretariat with effect from the date of assumption of charge, till June 12, 2015, the statement added.
