Chennai, July 4: Tamil Nadu police yesterday sought more time to produce south Indian film actress Anjali in the Madras High Court in a habeas corpus petition filed by her step mother.
Additional Public Prosecutor A N Thambidurai made a submission to this effect before a Division Bench comprising Justice V Dhanapalan and Justice C T Selvam which adjourned the matter to July 9.
Anjali's step mother Bharathi Devi filed the HCP in April this year after she went missing during a visit to Hyderabad for a Telugu film shoot.
She said she apprehended threat to her daughter's safety.
However, the actor appeared before police in Hyderabad some days later.
