A Republican Party of India activist has filed a police complaint seeking action against Colors channel for airing allegedly vulgar scenes in its reality show 'Bigg Boss Season 3'.
In a written complaint, the activist Tejal Bagade, alleged the participants in the show were not only indulging in vulgar acts but also using foul language with the sole intention to get publicity, police said.
She objected to a scene in which house-mates Aditi Gowitrikar and Tanaaz Irani were allegedly seen pulling down shorts of co-contestant Raju Srivastav at a pool side party organized over the weekend in the Bigg Boss house, they said.
Senior Inspector Anil Kharade of Vakola police station said "we received the complaint yesterday. Since the house of the Bigg Boss-3 is located in Lonavala in Pune district, we have forwarded the application to the Lonavala rural police station. Further investigation will be conducted by our counterparts there."
On Sunday, the Information & Broadcasting Ministry had issued a showcause notice to the 'Colors' entertainment channel, taking exception to the content being telecast in 'Bigg Boss 3' and asked it to reply within five days. PTI
