New Delhi: It seems that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in complete mood of making his ambitious ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' a big success and also to give a ‘logical end' to this mission on October 2, 2019 when the nation will celebrate Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary.
The Ministry of Urban Development is in process of putting a Management Information Systems (MIS) enabling the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) to monitor various activities under the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan', launched on October 2 this year by the Prime Minister aiming to build a clean India and pay the best tribute to the Father of Nation.
The user-friendly MIS, according to the Ministry, will provide round-the-clock monitoring process.
All states and other urban habitations covered under this mission will have to regularly upload information on the progress of work regarding construction of household, public and community toilets and other awareness activities.
The Ministry will also be soon finalising the guidelines for the implementation of the Rs 67,000 crore mission in urban areas.
