The Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh in his ‘To The People' report to be presented on May 22 on completion of the first year of UPA-II rule will highlight 13 big ‘achievements', some of which are:

Ø Right To Education Law giving compulsory education right to children between 6 to 14 years of age

Ø Special Bundelkhand Package of Rs 8,000 crore

Ø Half-way mark for Women's Reservation In Parliament

Ø 7.25 pc growth rate amidst worldwide recession

Ø National Rural Health Mission

Ø Modified National Rural Employment Guarantee

The report will applaud UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi's role in guiding the government. In the thirteen chapters, the government is going to highlight its achievements in the socio-economic sectors.

Struggling under the shadow of Maoist terror in Chhatisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal and Orissa, the Centre is going to highlight the return of normalcy in Kashmir valley after 20 long years of separatist terror as a balancing point.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi gets pride of place in the Prime Minister's report card for his efforts to get the Bundelkhand development package sanctioned.

The Prime Minister, a known economist himself, is going to project how India managed to survive the onslaught of worldwide recession originating from the West, even as countries like Greece struggle to  survive the economic crisis.

Though the UPA-II government could not put forth the Food Security Law, yet the Prime Minister is going to highlight supply of foodgrains at cheaper rates to families living below the poverty line under the Antyodaya scheme.

The PM's Report To The People is also going to highlight the Right to Information Act which has brought about fundamental changes in the governance.
