PM Modi inaugurates major fertiliser plant, AIIMS in UP's Gorakhpur | Highlights

PM Modi said that the 'red caps' want to form a government to show leniency towards terrorists, to bring them out of jails. So always remember that the 'red caps' are red alert for UP - they are bells to danger.

PM Narendra Modi said that these (Oppn) people can never understand that even during Corona crisis, the double engine govt continued with development, it didn't let the work stop. Today entire UP knows that the 'red caps' cared about 'red beacons' alone. They had nothing to do with your pain and issues. The 'red caps' want power - for scams & for filling their coffers, for illegal encroachments, for providing freedom to mafia, he said.

PM Narendra Modi said that before 2014, shortage of urea used to make headlines. But situation has improved now. Praising the Adityanath government, he said that sugarcane dues the BJP govt paid to farmers in 4.5 years is more than the amount paid by previous UP governments in 10 years.

PM Modi said that when there is a government that worries about the oppressed and deprived sections, then it works hard and even yields results. "The program in Gorakhpur today is a proof of the fact the nothing is impossible for new India when it becomes determined," the Prime Minister said.

Addressing a mega rally here, PM Modi said that beginning of a fertiliser plant and AIIMS in Gorakhpur is sending out several messages. "When there is a double engine government, then work takes place in double speed. When work is done with honest intentions, then even calamities can't become obstacles," he said. 

CM Yogi Adityanath said that the inauguration program today is like a dream come true for the people in East UP which was impossible for the opposition. 5 governments came and went to UP in the last 30 years. Only the BJP govt had the courage to start this fertilizer factory in Gorakhpur.

PM Narendra Modi has reached Gorakhpur. He will inaugurate a fertiliser plant, AIIMS and research lab here. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Gorakhpur Fertilizer Plant today. The foundation stone was laid by him in 2016.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the three mega projects constitute the biggest investment so far in eastern Uttar Pradesh. He said that the arrival of PM Modi in Gorakhpur will fulfil the dreams of eastern UP that were neglected by the failures of the previous governments.

The Gorakhpur AIIMS, built for Rs 1,011 crore, will benefit not only the people of eastern UP but also a huge population of Bihar, Jharkhand and Nepal with its world-class health facilities.

Electric buses too will start operating in Gorakhpur from Tuesday, local administration officials said, adding that they had been waiting in the Nausad bus station premises for their inaugural run since October 28. Chief Minister Adityanath had flagged off electric buses in Lucknow on October 5 and 15 such buses had reached Gorakhpur on October 28.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there has been a tremendous transformation in the healthcare sector in the state. There were only 12 medical colleges in the state since Independence, but today the government is constructing 33 new medical colleges.

Yogi Adityanath said that the inauguration of the AIIMS in Gorakhpur is the fulfilment of a long demand. He said that there has been a demand for setting up an AIIMS in Gorakhpur since 2004. He also said that the decision to restart the fertiliser factory, which has been lying closed since 1990, will generate employment opportunities. 

The regional medical research centre worth Rs 36 crore will facilitate the test and research of vector-borne diseases. The high-tech lab will decrease the dependency of the area on big cities for tests related to vector-borne diseases.

The fertiliser plant worth Rs 8,603 crore will produce 12.7 lakh metric tons of neem-coated urea per year. The project will not only bring prosperity to farmers’ lives but also create 20,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities for youths.

Earlier on Monday, CM Adityanath arrived here to review the preparations for the PM's visit. During the inspection of the fertilizer plant, Adityanath said Prime Minister PM Modi’s regime has been historic for the growth of Uttar Pradesh and, accordingly, the inaugural program of the plant and the AIIMS should be a grand one. Adityanath reached the fertilizer plant at around 5 pm and asked officials to take full care of the PM's safety and security besides that of the common man.
