Jammu, Aug 12: Pakistani and Indian troops exchanged firing throughout the night on Sunday at Digwar post in Poonch sector.
Pak forces initially began firing at 9:50 pm and this continued till 2:30 am. Indian troops also retaliated.
The firing was slowed due to rain, but sporadic firing continued till early morning.
On Sunday, there was heavy firing by Pak troops on Indian army posts in Balakot sector of Mendhar near Poonch.
Eleven Indian army posts were targeted by Pak soldiers during ceasefire violation. The firing went on from 10:30 am till 2:30 pm on Sunday. Indian troops also retaliated.
One BSF soldier was injured in exchange of fire.
