“I must add that Pakistan has difficult challenges today to face from Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) who obviously have their masters the Al Qaeda. And I think the army in Pakistan and the armed forces and security forces there would be well advised to address the challenges that come from TTP and other unwholesome forces that are attacking civilians in Pakistan,” Khurshid said.
On comments made by Pakistani leaders that they are willing to work with Narendra Modi, he said “I am surprised that they have little else to do than to spend their time talking about what the possibilities for future may be.” Khurshid said he was quite confident that “we will form UPA-3 and hopefully take forward whatever positive steps already taken over the past few months. “I understand this slowdown because everyone does not necessarily believe that it is productive to talk to a government that is coming to the end of its tenure as we had the problem when their government was coming to the end of their tenure.
“I think that they are wasting their time by spending so much unnecessary attention on something that would not happen,” he said.
