Nagar said that additional priests have been called in from Haridwar, Rishikesh and Benaras to meet the high rush for weddings.
"I have to solemnize three weddings tonight (Saturday)...It will be a hectic day," said Anant Tripathi, a priest at the Jhandewalan Hanuman Mandir in central Delhi.
The Delhi traffic police, anticipating jams, were on their toes.
