New Delhi, March 18: Union Commerce Minister Anand Sharma on Friday lashed out at the BJP and the Left for raising the Wikileaks issue, saying that the Opposition was unnecessarily indulging in "theatrics".
Speaking to newsmen here, Sharma said, the "mass hysteria and theatrics of Opposition is without any precedent.
"Unconfirmed and unverified diplomatic cables have been published. These are selective leaks. The ownership is not taken by anybody, neither the sender nor the receiver.

"How do you expect a responsible, mature democracy to respond to this. There are thousands of such leaks, subjective, fictional leaks, which diplomats normally do write in cable. In USA, UK and France, they acted maturely, so why these theatrics in India?
"My question particularly to the BJP since the party is suffering from lack of direction and selective loss of memory, is: Why don't they respond about Strobe Talbott's book in which he has written about how Vajpayee's government repeatedly conveyed so many issues throught their External Affairs Minister.?"
