Omar asks people to give reasons for NC's defeat in LS polls

Omar also expressed confidence that his party will bounce back to script an historic comeback.  “We have always survived and sustained. We have bled on our flag and never allowed it to fade. From here, we will script a historic comeback,” he said.

Accepting the verdict of the people of the state in the Lok Sabha polls, Omar said his party will learn lessons from this defeat and grow stronger.

“We are humbled by your verdict. This is as good a place to start learning and embarking on a new journey. We will learn. We will grow!” he added.

Quoting from Charles Dickens book ‘A Tale of Two Cities', Omar said “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair...”.

“Words that I identify with closely,” he added.
