New Delhi: The forthcoming visit of US President Barack Obama to India has been termed by the security establishment as a “challenge” in terms of providing foolproof security to the dignitaries and common people during the Republic Day.

“Every 26th January is a security challenge. Obama's visit is a security challenge but not the greatest security challenge,” a top intelligence officer said here today.

Obama will be the chief guest at the Republic Day parade here on January 26.

The officer said preparation for security of the Republic Day parade started early this month and all arrangements will be made to ensure foolproof security to the dignitaries and other guests.
